The Chison ECO6 portable ultrasound machine is a top competitor among the low cost market. With Speckle Reduction, AutoIMT, Compound Imaging, Needle Visualization, Harmonics, and solid image quality, the Chison ECO6 offers a powerful performance for a great price. A major improvement from its predecessor and what sets it apart from other systems in its realm is that the Chison ECO6 is the first ultrasound machine under $10,000 to have usable color.

Chison looked to improve its ECO line of products by creating a machine with features more competitive with mid-range ultrasound systems. Chison was successful. Our tests show the ECO6 to have better image quality, not to mention it includes added features like Triplex, Color Power Doppler, B-Steer, and the aforementioned AutoIMT and Needle Visualization technologies.

It takes a lot of processing power to provide good, smooth color Doppler while also showing a decent 2D image. The ECO6 manages good color Doppler that can provide diagnostic results. Although the color is a major improvement from the ECO5 to the ECO6 and sets the ECO6 apart in the market, it’s not perfect for vascular. But if your budget is restricted, it is the best system available for you.

The Chison ECO6 features a clear, crisp 12-inch LED monitor that has a much wider viewing angle than the LCDs you find on other ultrasound machines in this price range.

Additionally, Chison notes that the ECO6 is fit for the following applications:

  • Abdominal
  • OB/GYN
  • Urology
  • Cardiac

Chison has always created great machines for the low-end market. Now, they’re incorporating their advanced technologies while still keeping the price point down.

There aren’t a lot of machines in this price range that feature color Doppler, reliability and solid imaging performance, and the Chison ECO6 is a nice performer.

Simply, the Chison ECO6 is easy to use and one of the most versatile machines in its price range.

This first part of the Chison ECO 6 ultrasound training series is one of the most important videos in this 6-part ECO6 ultrasound training series.

It provides a complete overview of the system and how it works. Some functions are not necessarily intuitive, and this training video introduces some hidden features and menus that can help you with your ultrasound experience. The rest of this training series assumes the basic knowledge found in the first two parts of this 6-part hands-on ultrasound training.

The second video in the Chison ECO 6 ultrasound training series addresses procedures for imaging with the ECO6 portable ultrasound machine.

This part gives hands-on training for performing imaging, optimizing images, and using all the features available during an ultrasound scan with the ECO 6.

Part 3 teaches PW Doppler, color Doppler, and M-Mode imaging on this portable ultrasound machine.

This hands-on ultrasound training shows how to use the Doppler controls that aren’t clear nor obvious in using the ECO 6. This is a relatively brief video providing the proper steps in using these imaging modes.

The fourth chapter of the ECO 6 video training series discusses using the annotation libraries, measurements and calculations packages on the ECO 6. There are some shortcuts and features in this video that can help with your workflow.

Exporting Images and using reports on the ECO 6 can be a relatively straightforward process, however, there are some cool features and important notes about images, loops, and creating reports. This portion of the training will show you these features.

To best understand this portion of the training series, be sure to view Parts 1 and 2 of this video training series. Features and controls are used in this video that are explained in those first two parts.

The Chison ECO 6 has a large number of customizations that can improve workflow for those interested in personalizing their ultrasound machine. This part of the training addresses all the different menus in the System Setup, Connectivity, and how to create your own custom user presets.

The items in this installment of the training series refer back to all parts of the ECO6 video training series. If you haven’t viewed the other parts, some sections may be difficult to follow.
